F. A. Q.

A brief overview of Recertification & CEUs:  If the state accepts our resubmitted proposal for continuing education, certified tax collectors will be required to achieve fifty hours of continuing education credits over a five year period.  The requirement will be for at least ten hours in each of five categories:  1. Billing, Collection and Reporting;  2. Enforcement;  3.Statutory / Legislative  4.  Technology / Data Management; and 5. Office Management / Ancillary Professional Development.  The CCMC Committee will certify courses offered by CTx and Northeast Regional, and allow attendees to achieve CEUs at these events if the courses meet the Committee’s criteria.  State (Aquaturf) meetings, CCM sponsored workshops, and County association meetings will also be considered for approval.

If anybody who is already a CCMC needs to replace their CCMC pin – please contact Lisa (email)

If anybody who has successfully completed a CCMC class but needs to receive their certificate – please contact Lisa or Dolly.

The CCMC Committee awards final CCMC certificates twice yearly, at the state meetings at Aquaturf in May and in November.   ANY CANDIDATE  WHO HAS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE CCMC PROGRAM AND WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THEIR FINAL CERTIFICATION MUST CONTACT DOLLY MEZZETTI at mezzettid@ci.guilford.ct.us  at least two months prior to the state meeting so their certificate can be requested from the State.
