TAX COLLECTORS CERTIFICATION COURSES:    SPRING  2008

The Certification Committee has developed the following courses for Spring 2008 to fulfill the written coursework required for certification as provided in Sec. 12-130a of the Connecticut General Statutes.

SPECIAL NOTE:  If you know you are eligible for your CCMC designation, and have not received your certificate, please contact Dolly Mezzetti, via e-mail at  mezzettid@ci.guilford.ct.us 

The certification committee requests the certificates from OPM and it takes a while between us informing OPM and the committee actually receiving the certificates. 

If you are eligible for the CCMC designation contact Dolly with the exact way you want your name to appear on the certificate and the date of hire.

Introduction to Connecticut Tax Collection Administration and Law
 

Fee:                  $165.00 

Dates:               Eight Thursday mornings: April 24 – June 12, 2008.    

(Note: Class for the week of  May 15 will be held on another day, due to the state association meeting on that day. Details will be worked out the first day of class.) 

Time:                9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

State and Local Government 

Fee:                  $165.00 

Dates:               Seven Tuesday afternoons:   April 22 – June 3, 2008 

Time:                1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Course 1A MUST be taken before Course 1B.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  

BOTH courses 1A AND 1B MUST be taken before EITHER Course 2 or Course 3.   NO EXCEPTIONS. 

You MAY take Course 2 or Course 3 in any order after 1A and 1B.   

Preference will be given to anyone who needs only one class to complete the series. 

There is a minimum of twelve students required for a class to be held.  The class will be cancelled if fewer than 12 students are enrolled as of the start date.  You will be notified if class is cancelled. 

REGISTRATION IS FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED.  

 ALL PAYMENTS ARE DUE BY THE SECOND CLASS. 

 YOU MAY REGISTER FIRST, AND PAY LATER. 

1A / 1B Supplies:  You are responsible for bringing a calculator (solar powered, preferably silent). 

For all classes, it is recommended you bring a three ring binder and materials for your personal use in taking class notes.
