Committee has developed the following courses for Fall 2009 to fulfill
the written coursework required for certification, as provided in Sec.
12-130a of the Connecticut General Statutes.

Introduction to Connecticut Tax Collection Administration and Law
Fee: $175.00
Dates: Eight Monday afternoons:

Municipal Finance Administration and Management
Fee: $175.00
Dates: Six Tuesday afternoon classes,
plus one Wednesday exam: September 22 – October 27, 2009 plus the
exam, which will be given either on Wednesday, November 4, or on a date
to be discussed in class. (Tuesday, November 3 is Election Day, so no
class will be held that day.)

State
and Local Government
Course 3 is not
being offered in the Fall of 2009. It will probably be offered in the
Spring of 2010.
Course 1A MUST be
taken before Course 1B. NO EXCEPTIONS.
BOTH courses 1A
AND 1B MUST be taken before EITHER Course 2 or Course 3. NO
EXCEPTIONS.
You MAY take
Course 2 or Course 3 in any order after 1A and 1B.
Preference will
be given to anyone who needs only one class to complete the series.
There is a
minimum of ten students required for a class to be held. The class will
be cancelled if fewer than 10 students are enrolled as of the start
date. You will be notified if class is cancelled. If you do not hear
otherwise, assume the class will be held.
REGISTRATION IS
FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. CLASS SIZES ARE LIMITED AT THE DISCRETION OF
THE INSTRUCTORS.
ALL PAYMENTS ARE DUE BY THE SECOND CLASS.
YOU MAY REGISTER
FIRST, AND PAY LATER.
1A / 1B
Supplies: You are responsible for bringing a calculator (solar powered,
preferably silent).
For all classes,
it is recommended you bring a three ring binder and materials for your
personal use in taking class notes.
